A cracked flashing seam or a wind-lifted ridge cap won't wait for business hours, and neither do we — Roof Repair Smedway sends licensed Roof Leak Repair technicians across Selkirk, NY on the same day whenever it's humanly possible.
Every technician on a Roof Repair Smedway crew earned their spot through years on real roofs in Selkirk, NY, not a two-week onboarding video — that's the difference customers notice the moment we pull up.
We carry full liability coverage and workers' compensation, and every lead installer holds current state licensing, so a claim adjuster, a home inspector, or your own insurance carrier can verify our credentials without a single awkward phone call.
We've seen what happens when a roof gets "good enough" instead of done right — the drywall stains, the mold behind the insulation, the second call nobody wanted to make. Our Roof Leak Repair teams build to avoid that call entirely.
Bonded, insured, and ready to show proof on the spot.
A tarp-down call at 2 a.m. gets the same urgency as one at 2 p.m.
No surprise charges once the crew is already on your roof.
Technicians dispatched from within Selkirk, NY, not flown in from another region.
By the time water is visibly dripping into a room, the damage underneath the surface has usually been developing for a while.
Asphalt shingles shed protective granules as they age, and a gutter full of grit usually means the surface layer is wearing thin.
Once a shingle starts warping, it's no longer sealing properly against wind-driven rain.
Small gaps that let light in will let water in during the next heavy rain.
Ceiling stains tend to grow slowly, which is exactly why they're often ignored until the damage spreads.
If upstairs rooms feel noticeably warmer than the rest of the house, a failing roof system is a common hidden cause.
Missing shingles expose the underlayment, which is only designed as a temporary secondary barrier, not a long-term surface.
Whether it's a single emergency tarp or a full system replacement, each service below is handled by technicians who specialize in that exact scope of work.
Emergency dispatch covers downed limbs through the roof deck, storm-torn flashing, and wind-lifted shingle sections that need immediate coverage.
Residential work covers shingle repair, full re-roofs, ridge and soffit ventilation upgrades, and skylight flashing — whatever the house actually needs.
Flat and low-slope commercial roofs get scheduled inspections in addition to repair calls, catching ponding-water issues before they become structural.
Old, layered shingle systems often need a full tear-off rather than an overlay, and we'll tell you honestly which one your roof actually needs.
A thorough inspection checks flashing, fasteners, ventilation, and granule loss — the small issues that turn into major leaks if left alone.
Specialized repairs cover ice-dam prevention, dormer flashing, and low-slope transitions that standard shingle crews sometimes overlook.
A dispatcher takes down your address, roof type, and the issue, then routes it to the nearest available crew in Selkirk, NY.
You get a plain-language explanation of what's actually happening, not just a repair quote.
No verbal-only pricing — every number is documented so there's no confusion at invoice time.
A final walkthrough confirms the repair or install meets the agreed scope before the invoice is closed out.
Response windows are communicated upfront, not left as a vague "sometime this week."
Flat-rate pricing means the quote you approve is the quote you pay, barring a scope change we'll flag with you first.
Certifications are kept current so warranty coverage on materials stays valid when we install them.
Every repair and install comes with a workmanship warranty separate from the manufacturer's material warranty.
Our estimates are itemized in a format most carriers recognize, which speeds up claim approval.
Some jobs genuinely need a repair, not a replacement, and we'll tell you which one yours is.
A verbal promise doesn't hold up when you need it — that's why our guarantee is documented, dated, and handed to you at project close.
Material substitutions or unexpected decking damage found mid-job are always discussed with you first — we don't add line items after the fact and hope you don't notice.
Our Selkirk coverage area extends across Selkirk, NY, and if your address falls just outside the standard zone, dispatch can usually still arrange a visit.
If a storm system moves through Selkirk, NY and call volume spikes, we prioritize active leaks first and communicate realistic wait times for everything else rather than leaving people guessing.
